Clouds

It seems that his first voyage above the clouds has only whet his appetite.

This is my contribution to Kim's Sunday Selections. If you'd like to participate, link up at Frog Ponds Rock.

I want to thank everyone who has emailed or messaged me, or left comments on my last two posts. Your concern and kind words mean the world to me. Thank you so much. I owe responses to so many of you. I've been by a couple of blogs (way to go TM) and sent a few email responses, but mostly I've contined to do lots of nothing. It's not because I don't care or don't appreciate your contact -- I love it.  I'm just fried. Yesterday I slept almost the whole day. I was exhausted and achey -- I don't know why. Today I got up and went for a walk and then slept some more, and then watched cartoons with my kids. Fluff. A few times I thought, "I really should respond to all my emails," but, you know, clouds got in the way.

xoxo

  1. Rest. Relax. Recuperate.
    And enjoy it.

Your little boy is massively cute. I still have my eye on him for my daughter.

  2. I think you're perfectly entitled to stay in the clouds for a while. Take it easy and enjoy the simple pleasures for a while. Best wishes.

  9. Those clouds are going to provide somewhere soft for you to land before you know it. Embrace them. Don't worry about the 'stuff' so much. It doesn't matter. x

  10. In happiness and stess, in peace and in grief, the clouds protect and cosset us. Let them.

  12. I love that photo where your boy sits with his knees together and the airoplane in front of him. The lines and shadows are great.

People understand you not replying to all your messages right now. Don't feel that you need to apologise or explain. You just worry about feeling safe and comforted xox

  15. Clouds are awesome. I saw this amazing streak of cloud (maybe the remnants of a jet stream?) right by a huge, gorgeous full moon the other morning on my ride to work. I almost couldn't breathe for a moment.

Take your time. I think you more than deserve it. <3

  18. "I've looked at clouds from both sides now / from up and down and still somehow / it's clouds' illusions I recall / I really don't know clouds ... at all."

I'm with your (very cute) youngster - planes make me insanely happy.

Don't pressure yourself to respond ... you deserve to take your own time and look after yourself for now---without feeling guilty. Sleep. Smile. Listen to Disney soundtracks with or without the kiddos. Etcetera, etcetera. :) I owe you an email, myself.

  24. Clouds. One of their greatest gifts/talents is the way they change shape. A testament to your shape-shifting. And mate, that takes a whole heap of untold energy. No wonder the big sleeps! Accept them, guilt-free. And accept the support you receive online, guilt-free. You don't need to give back to that collective. Not now! Your generosity goes way beyond a couple of email replies you forgot to make, so relax! xoxoxox Anyway, shouldn't you be saving your energy for packing? EEEK!
