Blogging's hottest redheads

What do David Wenham, Lynn Kegan and some other third guy whose name I don't know have in common? All of them would be rejected by the world's largest sperm bank in Denmark, which just announced it's not accepting ginger donors. Due to lack of demand, apparently.

Oh no... who will have us?

I'm amused and a bit perplexed by the anti-ginger sentiment I encounter from time to time. I never knew it existed until I started hanging out in Australia and was exposed to all the ranga jokes. Redheads are a hot commodity in America, which is good news for me since my hair suddenly turned red after my marriage ended. I'm guessing the gentlemen above would be amused, too, as I imagine they don't lack for places to deposit their...oh, never mind.

As I was doing my (torturously thorough) research for this blog post, googling "sexy redheads" and whatnot, I kept coming across websites and forums dedicated to just that. This one, for instance, asks the age-old question, "Why are redheads so incredibly sexy?" Why indeed.

Because I've spent the last 20 minutes looking at different lists listing the sexiest redheads, I've decided to create my own. I hereby bring you Blogging's Hottest Redheads (disclaimer: all images blatantly stolen from respective blogs, but they won't mind, right? Because they made a hottest bloggers list? M'kay, good.)

Melissa from Sugar Coat It

Living the sweet ginger life

Toni from Chick Chat

She blogs about vibrators, for reals, unlike
*some* bloggers who are just a big tease

Eden from Edenland

Check out the short hair sexy!

Dorothy from Singular Insanity

Shown here with unknown ranga chick

Who said pink and red don't go together?

Jacqueline from Accidentally Mommy

...is coming to Kansas to do my makeup

Producing miniature-sized kissable gingers

Darren from ProBlogger

Okay, I was afraid to steal a picture from his blog, so
just picture this guy balding and with glasses and great SEO

Seriously, are redheads not just absolutely sizzling? Methinks so. And who have I missed? Let me know if I need to add to the list.

Now, for all you reds living abroad, if your tired of getting dogged for your hair color, come on over here to my neck of the woods where you will be in hot demand. And by you, I of course mean David, Lynn and unknown third guy.

  2. PS I've only blogged about one vibrator so far, but my husband is more than happy for me to consider any further offers.

  3. @Toni - I'm thinking I too may have to do a vibrator review, for reals, since I disappointed so many people with my chocolate tempering post.

  4. My son is a redhead. And he is by far the most gorgeous strawberry blonde known to man.
I also have red hair, but it comes from a box - so it doesn't *technically* count. But shhhh.

  9. Thanks for the mention, K :D These days my red comes out of a tube, but I copped so much teasing/bullying as a very, very orange-headed girl that I'm kind of paying homage to that little girl now. Red definitely rules!

Psst: could you hyperlink my blog name please? www.singularinsanity.com

    Thank you!

  13. Map Guy is a ranga and Tricky is a bit strawberry but mostly blonde. But I'm sure, like all the men in the family before him, when he grows a beard it will be FULL RANGA.

  17. In my entire life I've only known two red-headed men; neither of them was worth knowing.
My older son was always attracted to redheads; from grade one he always chose the red-haired girl to sit next to every year.
His 16-years partner is a redhead who dyes her hair black, the two kids have my son's dark brown hair and her blue eyes.

  22. Red heads are revered in our household. My son's Godfather (and the husband's best mate of 30 years) is one and he rocks! And I think its awesome to be unique - never hurt Nicole Kidman's career :)

  24. I ALWAYS get hit on because I'm a redhead (when I haven't accidentally dyed my hair black for a blogger thingie). Men say: Redhead, Yum. I think it's the hair and the spicy personality? I don't mind being red.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Bronnie - you're a red too? Why did I think you had brown hair? So many of us!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I checked my comment on here, and I didn't think it got through! Now, I look like such a liar, saying I swore for the first time on Woogsworld! Oh well, YOU'RE BOTH swear-worthy!
    :)

  27. I should really just stop trying to hide my red. I seem incapable of choosing a hair colour that hides it anyway. Must embrace my copper tones! (yes.... I'm one too... though I'm probably more your strawberry blonde than all-out red)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Im a red head~ we're an elite group.. they all just wish they could join us.. but they cant~! After years of teasing I now have learnt to embrace the inner ginger ninja! xx

  29. me me Im a redhead and Ive always embraced my redness - even wore a red dress on my wedding day (gasp...red heads cant wear red - they can they can)...as I've gotten older Ive gotten more comfortable with my redness - its me, its my personality and its what sets me apart from all those other 'in demand' colours, but I will share a secret - I wanted my daughter to be a redhead but when I knew I was having a son I did wish for him not to be a ginger ninja - who knows why??I think chicks just wear it better - jumped over here from the blog carnival - great read x

  31. So pleased one of my sisters made the list (Life in a Pink Fibro). The other sister (Maxabella loves...) is also a sexy redhead! I have lived with springy red pubes in the bathroom for much of my life that I feel I should be inducted into the redhead club. Alas, mousey brown for me. A very cool post Ms Kristin. Thanks for joining the DP Blog Carnival x

  32. We have red heads in our family, I love them! I've been most colours but I don't think I've ever been red. Too late now, I'm far to conservative / boring these days.
