Do you remember when I told you about my awesome neighbors, including Joe, who mowed my lawn every week this summer? Well, Joe-the-awesome-lawn-mowing-neighbor works with an outfit called Send Out Cards that lets you design your cards online, upload a list of receipients and mail the cards out, all from the comfort of your favorite couch. Now, that's a goal that even I can achieve!
Score one me.
I was playing around on this website the other day and thought it was so cool that I told Joe that I wanted to post about it. Here's what I love:
So, back to our photo session tonight.
If you've been reading Wanderlust for long you know that a talented photographer, I am not. But I managed to use a needlepoint stand as a makeshift tri-pod for my cell phone.
The first picture was photobombed by a kitten.
In each of the next three one of us ended up with our eyes closed.
Then Anna decided I should take a picture of her holding both the kittens, but at the last minute Dan came up behind her and spooked the kittens and I ended up with this:
I tried to corral them for more photos, but Dan was insisting on doing rabbit ears behind my head and Anna was crying because the cat had scratched her shoulder when Dan spooked it. And then I noticed the tree was shaking and went over to investigate and found this:
Hmmm...I thinking maybe I have our Christmas picture.
Anyway, my cards are going out first thing Monday. Ish.
If you want to check out Send Out Cards, contact Joe.
Are you on our Christmas card list? If not, email me your addy and you can see how the final product turned out.
* Not a sponsored post. I just like Joe and anything that make my life easier.

- You can either use one of their hundreds of existing cards or design your own.
- If you choose to make your own you have all kind of options for creative goodness. You can choose from hundreds of background colors and textures, add any text or decorative elements you want, upload and crop photos to include, etc.
- It saves your recipients so when a birthday or other occassion comes up, they're already in the system.
- You can purchase postage from the website.
- Best of all, they have a branch in Australia!
- Oh, and if you use this service, it helps Joe in his business and keeps him flush in lawnmower fuel.

Oh. My gosh. That is so gorgeous! All of it. Particularly the cheeky tree-cat. Hey cool effect in Dan's. Wow. It'd take someone hours in Photoshop to try and recreate that ;-P Must check out this greeting card website...

ReplyDelete@Rhonda - busy person's dream, Rhonda, we're not lazy, just busy (ahem)...!
ReplyDeleteThe petunia photobomb made me laugh and laugh!!
ReplyDeleteThe community centre where Millar goes to kinder, uses this service. They sent me a card to welcome xanthe when she was born. they used a photo of Millar. It was super cute. Love this service. But I keep forgetting to use it.
ReplyDeleteChristmas cards without the stress! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLol, I have a photo of my sister-in law's cat doing the exact same thing 2 years ago.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check that website out asap! What a fab idea!
I LOVE the cat in the tree. Though it is one more reason not to put up a tree here. Jazz is much bigger than your tree kitten.
ReplyDeleteAnyone checking out the website make sure you click on Send A Free Card. You can send a card or two for Free and be able to test drive before signing up.
ReplyDeleteIf you have questions, click on Contact at the top right of my website. That will send an email to me and I will get back to you asap. There is still time to get cards created and sent for Christmas, and for sure New Years as well.
Joe
Me I would have just used the bra pic. Killer.
ReplyDeleteWe have actually opted out of a real tree and gone fake this year, for the first time - all because of the two flea bag kittens we foolishly thought would be a good idea!! Absolutely no way they wont be climbing it every single day - so all we could do was reduce the potential mess a bit.
ReplyDelete@Glen - just think of all the joy and fun those 2 flea-bag kittens bring to your family!
ReplyDelete@Badger - I'm saving that one for Valentines Day.
Awwww...kitten-y cuteness! Great Christmas Card idea, I am always trying to send them out last minute, and they usually arrive late - my theory is that it extends the Christmas season!
ReplyDelete@IRL - I like that theory - I'm going to adopt it!
ReplyDeleteEvery year I intend to send out Christmas cards. Every year I run out of time. This sounds like a plan! I am allergic to the post office ;) (well the queues anyway).
