I'm a nonprofit professional who works too many hours, a mother, a sometimes world traveler, a neglectful housekeeper and a dreamer extraordinaire, and I write around the corners of all of this. My goal is to mother and travel around the corners of my writing. I think that's a reasonable goal.
In 2009 I started writing again after a 10-year hiatus and realized I’d been a fool to stop. Why do we ever stop doing the things that make us feel alive?
This past year has been incredibly difficult in ways I never could have fathomed. Being able to write through my fear and grief has saved me. The support, kindness and generosity of my friends and readers have saved me. I believe the power of connection and friendship can sustain us through anything. I believe in the power of expression to heal. I wish for everyone these gifts.
